A Fun-Filled Halloween Weekend

We began the weekend by making a Chocolate Haunted House as a family on Saturday morning.
Grammy bought us the kit and we were very excited to get creative.
Quynn watched as Avrey, Mommy, and Daddy decorated.
Avrey found out how much fun it was to eat the candy instead of use it for decorating purposes.
We were all very proud of how our haunted house turned out. The best part was eating the house afterward and walking around with jet black teeth and lips from the icing.
Then we got dressed up and went trick-or-treating downtown. Quynn dressed up as a Pump-Quynn.
Avrey dressed up like a black cat and carried around her McDonald's candy bucket. She would not say "trick-or-treat" instead she just held up her bucket and said "please".
Lastly we went to the Captain Cook Hotel and decorated Halloween cookies - Yum!

On Sunday we dressed up again, this time Avrey was Alice in Wonderland, then we went to a Halloween party and trick-or-treating to a few special houses (Granny's, Grammy's, and Annette's).
Granny gave Avrey a very special Halloween package with ghost and pumpkin lollipops. What a wonderful Granny!
Granny also sent Quynn her first Halloween card. Quynn loved it so much; she chewed on it for hours (thank goodness Hallmark cards are good quality or the card would have been torn to shreds).
Our last stop was at Grammy and Pop Pop's. Grammy gave Avrey, Mommy, and Daddy special Halloween treat bags and then we took pictures with the Jack-o-lantern that Avrey and Pop Pop carved.
What a wonderful Halloween weekend!
We can't wait until next year. Avrey already has her costume picked out - she wants to be a Musketeer!

Beautifully Blue

Daddy took me on a walk to the park the other day. He put me in my REI snowsuit because it is starting to get cold up here in Alaska. Did I look cute or what?
Granny says that my snowsuit makes my eyes look beautifully blue just like my mama's. Mama says Granny is a really smart lady.

Canadian Thanksgiving

We celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving with the Campbell Clan on October 10th. It was Avrey and Quynn's first time celebrating the big day as 'crazy canucks!'
Scott thought it appropriate to break out the red and white tie my mom bought him.

On the menu... turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, pumpkin cupcakes, and Double Musky Pie. Thanks Aunt ANN (she sure can cook)!

Granny calls this my cabbage patch face.
I have been working on it a lot lately.
According to the below picture, I think may have perfected it.
My mom says it's just TOO DARN CUTE!

Super Cute Student Letter

A super-cute student from my class named Kira wrote me a super-cute letter.
Just in case you are unable to read a first-grader's writing, here is the translation:

"Mrs. Campbell you have two cute kids - Love Kira"

And you know... not only is Kira super-cute, she is super smart too! Avrey and Quynn are pretty darn cute, don't you think?

Bippity Boppity Boo

The West Highschool Dance Theatre put on the production of Cinderella this past week and Avrey got to attend with her Grammy, Pop Pop, and Great Granny. Before she left she chose her favorite princess dress to wear and got her hair done up like the "real" Cinderella.
She had a wonderful time at the play; she especially loved the mice with their painted faces. When Avrey arrived home after the show she couldn't stop singing the Bippity Boppity Boo song.

Chatty Quynn

You've heard of Chatty Kathy... well how about Chatty Quynn. I personally think she gives Kathy a run for her money!

Stylishly Spooky

It may be a little early but Quynn's Halloween outfits are so darn cute I just had to share (don't worry there are a few more to come)!

This outfit says "Ghouls Just Wanna Have Fun!"
This outfit says "Batty for Mommy" but I think "Batty for Daddy" has a better ring to it!
A 'BOO' onsie, orange and black striped leg warmers, and Frankenstein socks - can this outfit get anymore ADORABLE?

Not to be left out... Avrey has an outfit that brilliantly screams BOO too! Knee high socks, a glittery black and silver tutu, and a sequined pumpkin tee - super stylish and spooky - wouldn't you agree?
