Easter Fun

We awoke Easter morning to find out the Easter Bunny left footprints around the house - what a messy bunny! Avrey had a blast following the tracks and discovering her hidden Easter basket. Quynn followed closely behind giggling the whole time.

Avrey was so funny! She said "Uh Oh Mom - he was up on the couch!"

Then it was off to church with friends and right after that Grammy and Pop Pop came over with an Easter basket full of goodies for our whole family to enjoy.

Then we gathered together with the rest of the Campbell crew for Easter dinner at Granny's house. Granny & Aunt Ann bought the girls the cutest matching Easter dresses.
Avrey & Quynn weren't the only ones who were matching though... Lisa (Cam's daughter) and Janet (Cam's S.O.) showed up looking pretty similarly spectacular too!
Avrey had a great time playing with the stuffed bunnies that Granny set out.
Quynn had fun playing with the chair.
Both girls loved playing with Uncle Vernon!
The table was set as if it were meant for royalty; the place holders were chocolate bunnies. Quynn was ready to EAT!

Once we finished the delicious meal and I could barely move, it was time to get active and find the Easter baskets. As usual, the baskets were bigger than the girls, so Daddy helped carry them back to the living room where we all gathered to see what was inside. Can you say SPOILED???
Both girls got a ton of clothes, books, and a few toys. It seemed they would never reach the bottom of the basket!

I know this about the Easter Bunny:
-he is kind and generous
-he has fabulous taste in clothes
-he knows exactly what my girls NEED each year (this year he came through big with soccer gear as Avrey begins soccer in May)

Thanks Easter Bunny - you are truly the BEST!

Officially One Year Old!

On Thursday April 21st, Quynn officially turned One Year Old!
When she woke up that morning Mama dressed her in an outfit that Amy, Dylanne, & Dayne from Montana sent in the mail. It was so funny because Mama had almost bought the exact same outfit at Target a few days before.
That evening to celebrate the special occasion we had some of Quynn's favorite people over for cupcakes. Of course the whole Campbell crew was in attendance but they somehow eluded the camera. Some other important people on the guest list...

Quynn was dressed in her very best outfit. Mama instantly fell in love with it when she saw it, even though it doesn't conform to the standard 'birthday dress' rules. Isn't she cute?

Big sister Avrey was looking pretty sharp too - she was wearing an adorable strawberry dress that Grammy gave her.
After everyone arrived it was time for cake and Quynn was definitely excited!
We sang Happy Birthday and then she dug in...
She got a little messy but loved every minute of it!

Next it was time to open up gifts. Avrey was a big help to her little sis when it came to unwrapping. Quynn got so many cool toys...
A new baby doll from Brittni, Lito, and the kids - she loves this doll and plays with it all the time!
A stuffed animal that is called a 'Sing-a-ma-jig' from Uncle Cam & Janet. It sings the song 'Oh My Darling Clementine'.
Stacking blocks from Uncle Vernon and Aunt Cheryl. These are the coolest stacking blocks Mama has ever seen; they are loaded with bells and whistles.
A really cool learning toy from Granny & Aunt Ann that will help Quynn learn how to sort shapes.
Some super cool walking shoes from Grammy & Pop Pop.
And her first pair of Crocs from Mom & Dad.

Mama just had to finish up the post by showing off some of the cool cards Quynn received as well. The following card was handmade for Quynn by Aunt Ann - a onsie because she turned one!
The ice cream cone card was from Uncle Cam & Janet and Mama thought it was pretty neat.
To wrap up the evening Quynn & Pop Pop played a rousing game of 'Who can yell through the stairway railing the loudest?' I think Pop Pop lost that one.
What a wonderful first birthday!
